Explosive and Safe – SYMAS® and MAINTENANCE Trade Fairs on 14–15 October

02.10.2026

Fires, explosions and other spectacular special effects are a hallmark of Hollywood blockbusters. And although a film starring an American celebrity probably won't be shot in Kraków any time soon, there will certainly be no shortage of real explosions! All thanks to the special effects at the SYMAS® and MAINTENANCE Trade Fairs, organised by Targi w Krakowie, where demonstration tests will be held of explosions that can occur in industrial environments, and of explosion protection systems. All in line with the principle that prevention is better than cure. Prevention is especially important when the safety of employees and industrial installations is at stake, along with the guarantee of production continuity. This is among the topics we will be discussing on 14–15 October at EXPO Kraków during the 17th edition of this industrial event.

A concentration of knowledge and market trends

Nearly 160 exhibitors from all over Europe, over 100 new products, explosion demonstrations, live presentations of modern devices, machines, systems and technologies in action, and the conference "360° Safety in Industry" – all this awaits participants of an event unique in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe: the SYMAS® and MAINTENANCE Trade Fairs, which bring together bulk solids process technologies with methods and tools for maintenance and production optimisation.

The fairs enjoy a strong reputation and the trust of technical staff from almost every branch of industry. Every year they attract large numbers of plant directors, production and maintenance managers, those responsible for the reliability of machinery and industrial installations, as well as health and safety inspectors who oversee the safety of plants and their employees.

Safety in industry

The safety of industrial processes will be one of the main topics at this year's fairs. Participants in the accompanying conference "360° Safety in Industry", organised by the IHAS Academy, will learn about current trends in industrial safety, employee protection, accident prevention, and compliance with applicable regulations and standards. During the trade fair demonstrations, visitors will see live explosions of several types of combustible dust commonly found in production plants and will learn from experts at GRUPA WOLFF how to approach preventing this phenomenon.

Once again, the fairs will feature a dedicated industrial safety zone, where exhibitors will present technologies and solutions that protect employees and industrial installations. This is a response to the growing importance of safety in production plants and to challenges such as implementing a "zero accidents" strategy and the need to improve risk assessment, hazard monitoring, incident management, and the safety of workers, processes and entire factories.

Practice first

For the first time at the SYMAS®/MAINTENANCE Trade Fairs, exhibitors will present their latest technical solutions during live demonstrations held at their stands. This will be a unique opportunity to see modern devices, machines, systems and technologies at work – not on a screen or in a catalogue, but in real operation. Over both days, visitors to the demonstrations will become familiar with how bulk material conveying systems work, as well as devices for marking products in dusty areas, modern machine diagnostics technologies, IT systems supporting maintenance and health and safety teams, and equipment for rapid cleaning of spare parts.

An autumn tradition

It has become a tradition for specialists from the bulk and solid materials and maintenance industries to meet in Kraków every autumn. Everyone has their own reason not to miss these exceptional industrial events. Some aim to establish new business contacts, others plan to expand their machinery, and still others want to gain unique knowledge. Each of them will have an excellent opportunity to do so in just two weeks.
